Finally got that perfect effect crafted, but afraid you'll lose it? It'll never happen when you use the B1on's handy Auto Save function. When switched on, whatever you change will automatically be saved.

Alternatively, if you'd prefer the insurance of a safety net (so that you never accidentally overwrite a patch), simply leave Auto Save off. The B1on will then politely ask you if you want to save your edits whenever you move on to a different patch. Settings can be saved to the currently selected memory area, or to any other area, allowing you to place it where it's most convenient.

Pre-Select

Normally, you'll want to store your custom B1on patches adjacent to one another so that stepping on the pedal will scroll through them in the order needed. In that circumstance, you'll also want the sound to change immediately, and this is the way the B1on normally operates.

However, if you haven't stored your patches in adjacent memory locations, or if you simply get the urge to experiment and change things up in the middle of a performance, just turn on the B1on Pre Select function. This allows you to scroll through patches silently, with the current sound remaining unchanged as you do so.

Power Functions

The B1on runs on just 4 AA batteries—either alkaline or rechargeable NiMH. Alternatively, it can be powered from an optional Zoom AD-16 AC adapter or via USB.
When running on batteries, the B1on powers up automatically when a jack is inserted into its input connector, and a unique "eco"  function can be used to automatically power the unit off if unused for 10 hours.

Battery life (when using alkaline batteries) is more than 20 hours, even during continuous use, and a handy "battery remaining" display shows you how much power is remaining. What’s a Compressor?
Dynamics play an important role in music. They help to convey emotion, whether it’s a sultry blues solo or the unrelenting gallop of unfettered metal. But uncontrolled dynamics can take all your best intentions and turn them into so much, well…mush. What is a Phaser?
A phaser filters a signal by creating a series of peaks and troughs in the frequency spectrum. The position of the peaks and troughs is modulated so they vary over time, creating a sweeping effect. In plain terms, the UP300 will make your guitar sound something like a jet airplane flying overhead.

With two distinctly different phase shifters built into one incredibly-twisted pedal, the UP300 grants access to every conceivable shade of sonic dementia. In Mode I, with the dedicated Rate and Depth dials set high, you get a warped, warbling phase shift that turns your guitar into a symphony of lysergic rubber bands. If a more traditional sound suits your mood, slip into Mode II and enjoy the blissed-out shimmer of classic rock’s trippiest moments.

Easy to Use
Control the overall parameters of the effect with the dedicated Level and Resonance dials. What is Flange?
Flanging occurs when two identical signals are mixed together, but with one signal delayed by a small, gradually changing amount. In layman’s terms, it makes your guitar sound something like a vintage rotary speaker, but by adjusting certain parameters of the effect, it becomes syrupy and psychedelic. This effect is prominent in many landmark ’70s rock recordings, and is still widely used to this day.
