In producing the Artwood series, Ibanez has respected the rich tradition of the acoustic guitar while adding modern interpretations in a continuing search for the ultimate in guitar tone.
 
The AW5412JR from Ibanez is a beautifully designed junior-sized, 12-string acoustic with great tonewoods and fine appointments normally found on more expensive instruments.
Featuring a solid Sitka spruce top with okoume back and sides, the AW5412JR delivers balanced, full tone with rich projection.
A smooth nyatoh neck and ovangkol fingerboard are instantly playable and responsive. This is an outstanding starter guitar for younger players or those with smaller hands. It can also be a great guitar for anyone wanting a second instrument for taking to the beach and playing around the campfire.
 
The undersized dreadnought body of the AW5412JR is incredibly lightweight and comfortable for hours of playing, be it standing or sitting. The solid Sitka spruce top and okoume back and sides combine to produce wonderfully balanced tone and projection. The shorter, 23.9" scale length is ideal for beginner players to explore chords and lead playing up and down the smooth ovangkol fingerboard.
