Notify on availabilityMFJ-493 - MENU DRIVEN ELECTRONIC CW KEYER - 32K MEMORY - PC XT/AT KEYBOARD TYPE INPUT PORT
Fully guided menu on the front panel.
It allows to: memorize and transmit messages, decrease serial numbers, establish speed (from 25 to 500 characters per minute) and weighing,
vary or cancel the listening tone, select automatic mode, semi-automatic, manual, paddle, insert queued messages,
send a signal to agree the transmitter, choose between iambic A or B, reverse paddle, send serial numbers for the contest,
do CW lessons with a QSO simulator or with a built-in FCC exam simulator.
The memories allow you to repeat messages, queue them, configure them differently with information such as name, QTH, working conditions and more.
The message editor allows you to correct only any errors made and not the whole message.
Messages can be interrupted at any time, for example by sending other information via paddle, and then restarted from the point of interruption.
A built-in serial port also allows you to connect the keyer to a computer's serial port via an optional cable, to use the latter for the computer
composition of a message library, generate exam sessions, control the keyer totally, set the keyer for different operators during a contest, view,
edit and save memories related to messages and settings.
By transmitting in CW the data are sent in ASCII to the serial port, thus allowing the storage of an entire transmission on the computer.
You can also transmit in CW from the keyboard by connecting a standard 101-key XT / AT PC keyboard to the MFJ-493 port. All the commands, the functions
and memories can be set from this keyboard. You will also have memories and other additional features available.
External 12 V power supply.
