The RA-3 antenna is perfectly suitable for all transceivers with a BNC connector having an impedance of 50 ohms.

Its length of 62 cm has a greater gain and greater efficiency than any rubber antenna or 1/4 wave whip.

Its seven telescopic segments can be reduced to just 14.5 cm to be easily transported without bulk.

A convenient clip allows it to be inserted into a pocket like a pen.

When fully extended the antenna offers maximum performance on 144-148 MHz.
It can therefore be adjusted to a minimum S.W.R. even on higher frequencies simply by reducing its length,
which can be found experimentally with an analyzer or with a simple SWR meter, and marked for each frequency of interest.
