The Optimized Wideband Antenna (OWA) is an antenna using a feed-point matching method that provides an increased feed point impedance while widening the VSWR bandwidth.
The OWA is implemented in a Yagi antenna by placing the first director very close in front of the driven element.
The wide spacing used in this antenna gives optimal results in terms of gain and front-to-back and front-to-side ratios.
