The Icom SM-30 is a compact, lightweight unidirectional electret condenser microphone. It features a selectable low cut function.
This goose-neck style desktop mic has a microphone output level that can be adjusted via a trimmer on the bottom of the microphone. The base has a PTT and Lock PTT switch and there is a red "PTT lock" lamp.
The characteristics of the SM-30 have been optimized for SSB and FM voice communications.
It has an 8 pin round connector.
Output impedance is 600 ohm.
Operates from 8VDC which is derived from the Icom radio.
The mic cable is 39 inches (1 m) long.

This quality desk microphone is designed for base station operation with select Icom transceivers with a round 8-pin socket.
