The SSM-17A is the successor to the previous MH-34B4B model no longer available.

Treat yourself to the convenience of a speakerphone microphone. Placing it close to the head, for example attaching it to the lapel, results in better intelligibility of the audio.
The radio, on the other hand, can be conveniently hidden on the belt or in the backpack.
The SSM-17A has a well-held, rotatable clip so that the microphone can be easily attached anywhere, even in the car.

The SSM-17A speaker microphone has a 4-pin, angled jack socket. At the bottom of the housing there is a socket with a switching function for connecting headphones or a 3.5mm headset. As soon as headphones are connected to this socket, the internal speaker of the SSM-17A is deactivated.
On the coiled cable there is a rubber ring for attachment to the antenna, so that the cable is safely lifted from tension.
