THEORY AND DESCRIPTION
The SuperLoop can be mounted in any configuration:
triangle,
square,
delta,
horizontal,
vertical,
oblique.
The mounting configuration will affect the incoming signal angles in various ways.
The higher the ground clearance, the better the performance with the DX signals.
In 80 meters the SuperLoop works in full wave. In 40 meters it works as a bi-square or open loop with 2 wavelengths.
The adapter line has the function of electrically "opening" the loop on 40 meters and some other bands, with an additional average gain of 4 dB, which may seem much greater on DX signals due to its very low radiation angle.
The DMU (Dedicate Matching Unit) to which the coaxial cable is connected has the task of making the S.W.R. acceptable on all bands, and make it possible to use 50 ohm coaxial cable.
The losses are very low. On some bands it may be necessary to use an antenna tuner, especially if the antenna is low from the ground.
